Our story

Our story begins with a love for creativity, faith, and family. I’m Summer—a wife to a dedicated police officer and mom to two little girls. I started Novel & Thread as a way to blend my passion for reading, my faith, and my love language of giving. Creating something special that brings joy to others is at the heart of what I do. Novel & Thread is more than embroidery; it’s a way for me to share my passion and a little bit of myself in every piece. Each item is crafted with care and love, as if it were a gift to someone special—because that’s exactly what it is.
